Timfy James leaves Hacktivst

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Timfy will be leaving Hacktivist. Timfy will play 3 final shows in Switzerland, Camden Rocks Festival and a very special hometown show which is onsale now from our shows tab. All shows beyond this point will still go ahead and we will announce details on our new guitarist in the near future.

Timfy: "I'm very sad to say that I have made the decision to leave Hacktivist. I've had an amazing six years touring the world with my brothers and I wish them all the luck moving forward. I also want to thank all of the fans that have supported us this far, without you guys none of this would have been possible. I have every confidence that the band will continue to inspire and push the boundaries of modern music for many more years to come."

Josh: “We’re sad to see Timfy’s time with Hacktivist has come to an end, but we wish the best of luck with his future plans. We want to thank him profusely for the blood, sweat and tears he has put into the band over the past seven years. Timfy has been a driving force in defining the Hacktivist sound, but his departure brings with it the dawn of new ideas and forward thinking. None of this year’s shows will be cancelled, and you will be hearing from us soon with fresh new music.”

Ben Marvin leaves Hacktivist

We are sad to announce the departure of founding member and vocalist Ben Marvin. Due to family commitments and a desire to spend more time at home, Ben has made the tough decision to part ways with the band at the end of the month following the hometown headline show at Milton Keynes’ Craufurd Arms (29th January) to mark Independent Venue Week. Limited tickets are still available from, let's make it a rowdy send off!!!

Ben says: "My time in Hacktivist has been sick! Big up all the fans across the world and the rest of the band for making this possible. I will continue to write music, but can no longer dedicate full time hours into a touring band. This experience has been one to remember. Thank you EVERYBODY once again! One love.” We want to wish Ben all the best for his future endeavours. Hacktivist won't be the same without him and we will all miss him. But this is also a new beginning for H, and we're looking forward to the next chapter. What comes next for Hacktivist is unwritten, and a replacement for Ben will be sought out and subsequently announced in due course.

All future touring commitments will be honoured, including shows at UK Tech-Fest, Download Spain and Graspop.
